Why apply
Educational philanthropy, reimagined.
Scholarship-seeking has long meant a patchwork of personal asks, one-off grants, and applications that disappear into the void. YGF brings the rigor of a modern platform together with the warmth of a community that genuinely cares about who you are and what you’re working toward.
Reach
One application. Many funds.
Submit once. We match your profile against every Education Opportunity Fund whose criteria fit — undergraduates and grad students, vocational trainees, yeshiva and kollel learners, special-needs families, adult students, and more.
Real people
Donors who read your story.
Behind every EOF is a family or individual who cares deeply about a specific kind of student. Your application reaches the people most likely to back you — not an algorithm.
Dignity
No fees. No begging. No noise.
Applying is free. There’s no obligation, no campaign to run, no public asks. Your profile is private by default and only visible to the EOFs that match.
The Yeshiva Giving Fund edge
Education. Giving. Hi-tech.
The cutting edge of educational philanthropy isn’t a buzzword. It’s three things working together — for the first time, in our world.
Education
We back the full spectrum of education: undergraduate and graduate degrees, vocational and trade training, professional credentials, special-needs schooling, continuing and adult education, yeshiva and kollel learning, semicha and chinuch, and Torah scholarship. If you’re learning, there’s likely an EOF for you.
Giving
Education Opportunity Funds aren’t institutional bureaucracy. They’re personal funds, established by donor-advisors who pick the students they back. Your story matters — and so does the story of the person funding you.
Hi-tech
A platform purpose-built for this work. Smart matching, save-and-resume, encrypted document handling, transparent status updates — the standards modern applicants expect, brought to a field that’s lagged for decades.

One honest note about timing. Step 2 takes about a week. Steps 3 and 4 don’t have a guaranteed timetable — donor-advisors review on their own schedule. What we promise is that every profile gets read, and we’ll let you know either way.

Common questions
What applicants ask us most.
No. Applying for an Education Opportunity Scholarship is completely free. There are no application fees, no platform fees, and no obligation if you’re not matched.
The application itself takes about ten minutes if you have your documents ready. After you submit, YGF reviews within one week. Scholarship recommendations from donor-advisors don’t have a fixed timetable, but every profile gets read.
Yes. Use the “Save and Continue Later” button at the bottom of any page. We’ll send you a link by email that lets you resume on any computer. Your draft is held for 30 days.
By default, only EOF donor-advisors whose fund criteria match your profile. You can opt into the public scholarship dashboard if you’d like broader visibility — but most applicants choose the private default.
Nine categories: undergraduate, graduate and professional studies, vocational and trade training, special-needs education, continuing and adult education, post–high school learning, yeshiva and kollel, rabbinic and chinuch training, and Torah scholarship and writing. Different EOFs focus on different categories.
We’ll let you know. Your profile can also remain in the pool — new EOFs are launched throughout the year, and matches can happen later.
Yeshiva Giving Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 82-3513755) operating on a fiscal-sponsorship model. Every EOF is governed by transparent rules under YGF’s umbrella, ensuring tax-deductible status for donors and oversight for applicants.
Ready when you are
Take ten minutes. Change the trajectory.
Whether you’re starting an undergraduate degree, finishing a vocational program, supporting a special-needs child, returning to school as an adult, or deep into yeshiva learning — your application is the first thing donor-advisors will see. Make it yours.
